Tomorrow morning will be the 3 week mark, and I'm confident I'll be back to 234, a third of the way over after only a fourth of the planned timeline. I've dropped from 242 to 235 (was 234 yesterday, but rounding says 235 today) over 20 days. The idea though is to add something small every few weeks maybe and to develop the routine slowly instead of jumping in head first and getting sick of it immediately. After the push ups become routine I'll add pull ups or some simple free weight exercises. I'm planning to slowly add more days of push ups until it becomes more routine like calorie counting now is. My arms are sore, so I'll give it another day or two to recover fully before doing more. This week I scratched the surface of adding some resistance exercise by doing some push ups. Doing that for a couple weeks has shed light on my eating habits, so I'm now paying better attention to my daily calorie intake. So I started using the myfitnesspal app, and I logged everything down to 25 calorie servings of animal crackers. I think we all know most of us aren't honest with ourselves about what and how much we consume daily. I started with something simple: counting calories. This time I've been trying to ease myself into it by making small changes a little bit at a time. I'm back at it trying to lose some weight again though. That's where I think I've failed in the past trying to make an overnight change and expecting it to last.
